It's no secret that I'm a sucker for an open back. They add an element of sexy to any look. Today, I'm back with another Valentine's Day look, but this time, I'm steering clear of all things pink and red. I get it, not everyone wants to be covered in color and hearts and bows from head to toe. I totally used to be that girl. As I mentioned before, I've been stepping out of the box lately, and trying outfits I normally wouldn't, but there's something to be said for sticking to your classic style. This dress, is quintessential Leah.
The long sleeve and rounded neckline make create modesty, but the plunging V along that backline dips low enough to show off your sexy side. Best of all, there's a hidden bar in the back, so the V rests with structure and maintains its form. The best part of a plain black dress like this, is that it works for so many occasions, and the long sleeves make it work for many seasons here in Colorado.
If you are looking for ways to slowly incorporate color into your wardrobe, especially around holidays like this, start by adding red or pink accessories. A colored clutch (maybe even covered in hearts!) can really pull the look together, and show your love for love-day. If you're comfortable enough, a bold lip can do the same thing, and is definitely my preferred pop of color.
Do you have any plans for Valentine's Day? What about Galentine's Day? Cupid may have to come visit us in our pjs on sunday, because a day in with my love is sounding best, at this point. We'll see though. Sending hugs and kisses your way! xoxo
