It's true, I'm eager to break out my spring wardrobe. Although, you and I both know it's really still too cold to go there. After 6 years of living in Colorado, I've learned to develop tricks for breaking out my spring pieces early. (A Cali girl's gotta do, what a Cali girl's gotta do!) In my attempt to break out of a style rut, I try to steer clear of black coats this time of year. They are great, and definitely staples that we all should gravitate toward, but adding unexpected colored pieces to your closet can really aid in giving you all those spring time feels.
Pastels are quintessential spring, and are guaranteed to pop up in the form of shades like blush, lavender, mint and cotton candy, this season. Transitioning from winter to spring can be a challenge when mother nature isn't matching up with your warm weather pieces, but adding coats or trench coats in these shades, makes for an easy transition.
This skirt is from Pree Brulee, which is a darling online boutique. Remember this necklace we all obsessed over? They've got all that and a couple other goodies I have my eye on.
